This past week’s schedule release marks a turn of the calendar in the NFL world, as the Los Angeles Rams can begin looking ahead to the 2024 season.

Free agency and the draft have passed, and now the schedule is out, which means head coach Sean McVay and his team can begin their preparation, starting with their Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions.

The Rams are hoping to build off last season when they unexpectedly finished 10-7 and made the playoffs, going 7-1 after their bye week. They are coming off a successful offseason in which they added key pieces on both sides of the ball through the draft and free agency, so McVay and his squad seem ready to get back into Super Bowl contention in 2024.

With the release of the schedule this past week though, teams come up with creative content ideas to celebrate. One of the videos the Rams posted was a trivia game with McVay on the schedule, and as always, he did not disappoint with his incredible memory:

If this video was any other coach then people would likely be questioning how real it is, but considering McVay’s history of remembering everything, it’s safe to say that the video is not doctored in any way.

In this video, McVay remembered play calls from years back, all-time leading receivers from other organizations, past Super Bowl halftime shows and much more. He has always claimed to be a historian of the game, and he continues to prove that with videos like this.

Now that the schedule is out though, McVay can begin preparing his team for the 2024 season with OTAs set to pick back up this coming week. The Rams have a ton of rookies and second-year players on the roster, so these offseason workouts are vital for getting them up to speed and ready for training camp in July.

Sean McVay explains why Rams drafted Jared Verse

With their first first-round pick since 2016, the Rams selected defensive end Jared Verse out of Florida State. Many expected the Rams to go with an offensive player, but Sean McVay explained why Verse made sense for them.

“He’s got great hands, he’s violent, he’s got a versatile arsenal of moves that he can activate, but he plays the game the way that we want it to be played,” McVay said. “We’re looking for grown men on defense.”
